Vintage vehicles are put to work again
A Charity Vintage vehicle working day is being held at Kayle Farm, Hayle, 13th September, 10 am onwards.
It will feature tractors ploughing and cultivating, threshing machines, combine harvesters gathering corn and shire horses among other atractions.There will also be food and live music.
The event is being held in memory of Bobby and Janet Pellow, who were involved in vintage ploughing and raised more than £ 30.000 for charity. Money raised will go to Cornwall Hospice Care, Marie Curie and Macmillan.
To get to Kayle Farm – Turn off A30 into Hayle (Loggans Moor/McDonald’s/M&S roundabout) – at Lidl’s roundabout turn left – you will pass a chip shop on left after 50 mtrs – keep going under a railway viaduct after 1K – this is Wheal Alfred Road – Kayle Farm is about 2K / 3K on the right.
