St Piran Day Events 2011
Saturday March 5th
The Truro St Piran’s Day Parade will take place on Saturday 5th March. Participants are asked to muster at St George’s Road at 1pm. The Parade will follow its usual route – River Street, St Nicholas Street, Boscawen Street (a U-Turn) and into King Street, culminating at High Cross. One and all welcome.
Both the Mayor of Truro and Mrs Pat Harvey, Chairman of Cornwall Council will be taking part.

Truro Cathedral, which kindly allows use of High Cross, has a cafe who serve St Piran’s lunches.
A session will be led by Mathi Clarke at the Old Ale House 2:30 pm

Roche 6.00 pm ‘St Pirans Tide’ celebrations,Victory Hall (01208 77037)
Lanlivery: Evening, Crown Inn, St Piran’s bash – session and Shout
Launceston 6.30 pm Lowering of the St Piran flag at Launceston Castle, followed by procession through town and session at the Westgate Inn
Looe Library St Piran’s Day celebrations, old photos, saffron cake, children’s poster design & quiz 9.30am -12pm 5th March
9.00 pm At the Globe St Piran’s Bash with Penndrumm
Redruth AM entertainment in the main street , followed by a procession to the rugby ground where there’ll be bands, singers, fairground rides, competitions, a market with around 40 stalls from local traders, plenty of food and drink, rugby game between Redruth and Stourbridge from 3pm. Entry will be free (including the rugby!) from 12-1pm. From 7pm there will also be plenty of live music throughout the town at various venues to celebrate St Piran.

Sunday March 6th
Perranporth St Piran Play – a processional play through the sand dunes to the sites of the oratory and mediaeval church, Perran Sands Holiday Park, 2pm.
