This lighthouse stands on the most Southerly point in the British Isles. The eerie sounds of the siren could be heard back up in Lizard village, and thoughts drifted to the many shipwrecks and lives lost around this treacherous stretch of the Cornish coast line...

Our Cornish fisherman friends tell us the kindest way to kill your fish is to put your fingers in it's mouth and give a quick jerk backwards, much kinder than suffocation. The guts will not be wasted as there is always a hungry gull around.
